Sassoferrato - Town at 385 m. above the sea level, on the slopes of the Appennino and surrounded by peaks of Mount Catria, Witch and Cucco that separate the Marche from Umbria regions. It is wet from the Sentino river that, in the city center receives as tributaries the Marena and the Sanguirone river. It is an interesting town especially for artistic, environmental and landscape point of view. The town consists of a lower part called the "village", the commercial area, and an older part called the "Castle", that you will clearly distinguish because of its still preserved medieval aspect, with stone houses, sections of walls, doors and towers of the XIII ce.
